Description A quickie-doodle I decided to clean up. I wanna show some activity, see? I know, I know, lowest possible effort. But some effort, at least!Β
Work on "Wildchild" will continue after school is out, in two weeks.

Heqet was the Egyptian goddess of fertility, and the mother of Horus. It is speculated that she was adopted by the Greeks as the goddess of witchcraft, Hecate.

The look of her eyes tells it all

What do they tell you? What does her special eyes tell you?

Some unpredictable plan maybe. Or just not being at herself

ItΒ΄s that special female helplessness combined with female awareness.

A mask for self-protection...

Just something funny, I really guess, that I just donΒ΄t know.

Maybe a plan so unpredictable that she does not know it herself? I don't know it, that's for sure!Β
I modelled it after another well-known amphibian's expression, and I think that expression was a combination of relief, contentment and weed.

I do like the idea of it being a mask, as if this froggy goddess is in fact far more cunning than she lets on!

Gorgeous design. I'm (wait for it) weirdly transfixed at how well you drew her human/frog hand, really making it feel like both at once.

Thank you! I'm glad that the design of the hand hit the right notes!
I was a bit apprehensive about uploading this due to how controversial the reference could be, but I am glad that people didn't read anything malicious into it!

Hmm. I've on occasion waded into controversial matters (like maybe a character depiction here or there) but no one has brought it up to me. ^~;

That said, I'd probably make the fixes anyway, since I personally can't unsee the issue.

I am sorry, I am confused. What fixes? What is it that you cannot unsee? Did I do something?

Oh, no no no. I meant fixing my OWN characters (both in design and in writing). ;;

I should have phrased that clearer~

Oh, I see!Β
Sometimes I go back and edit, other times I let them be in order to remind me of what not to do!

Sometimes there's that option too Β

The little detail of the frog on the head piece is really neat, it's an adorable little froggo.

And as to making it weird... It seems like that desire was satisfied!

Thank you! There wasn't much thought put into this one, I just wanted to draw something, anything!

A goddess of fertility yet is a frog woman. Yeah, she's already making it weird, haha.

It's not that weird, I think! I remember seeing frog spawnings when I was little. There were so many of them, they covered the road passing by the pond in a blanket of slimy, croaking little angels!

Or maybe those were baby toads? No, must've been frogs, since they went for the water.
Anyway, those guys breed a lot! Or they used to, before toads, fungi and asphalt got to 'em. Haven't seen a frog in years, now.

In my town, I only see frogs when monsoon rain pours down. That is when I hear them croak in the night, and sometimes see them hopping on the roads near my street.
