A quickie-doodle I decided to clean up. I wanna show some activity, see? I know, I know, lowest possible effort. But some effort, at least!ΒWork on "Wildchild" will continue after school is out, in two weeks.
Heqet was the Egyptian goddess of fertility, and the mother of Horus. It is speculated that she was adopted by the Greeks as the goddess of witchcraft, Hecate.

I modelled it after another well-known amphibian's expression, and I think that expression was a combination of relief, contentment and weed.
I do like the idea of it being a mask, as if this froggy goddess is in fact far more cunning than she lets on!

Hmm. I've on occasion waded into controversial matters (like maybe a character depiction here or there) but no one has brought it up to me. ^~;

The little detail of the frog on the head piece is really neat, it's an adorable little froggo.

It's not that weird, I think! I remember seeing frog spawnings when I was little. There were so many of them, they covered the road passing by the pond in a blanket of slimy, croaking little angels!
Or maybe those were baby toads? No, must've been frogs, since they went for the water.
Anyway, those guys breed a lot! Or they used to, before toads, fungi and asphalt got to 'em. Haven't seen a frog in years, now.

In my town, I only see frogs when monsoon rain pours down. That is when I hear them croak in the night, and sometimes see them hopping on the roads near my street.
