This is apart of my 3 picture series final for digital imaging.My theme was kimonos and sakura petals.
this image features my OC Ma'Kava and OC sinchi.
The concept is that their on Ecris island and taking in the sites and entertianment. I choose to use Gysking's OC because he's a great person and he's allowing me to use the feature characters inb my manga. i can't thank him enough for that.

pencils (regular, blue, red)
card stock paper
time for completion: 6 days.

I'm no expert or anything but here goes...
First off I want to say I like the piece it is very well done. The use of textures is wonderful.
Now first things the shading/shadows. In the character in the front, there is soft shading in the stockings which seems odd considering her thigh has hard-cel shading. Also the sakura leaves falling in the front would have more depth if they cast a shadow on the ground.
Next the test is very hard to read, in fact at first glance I didn't even notice there was text. Which brings me to the final point of the background being much too much. The second character is almost smothered by the background.

my first critique:
Firstly, I congratulate you on the colors. You have done a very nice composition of colors with the pink cherry trees and pink kimono, which are almost the same color. I really like the purple tone of the other kimono, because it doesn't attract much attention from the main object.
I will first focus on the form. I don't like the mountain. At all. It drags the focus from the rest of the image as people ask themselves what is in the background. Also, it seems too harsh for the photo and somehow destroys the impression.
Shading. The texture of the background is completely not necessary. Although the image is well shaded, the tail of the cat-woman did not leave a shadow, which is strange,at the very least.
Forms. Forms are good, defined;I like the cat-woman very much.
I am also in love with the eyes; different color of the eyes, to be exact. Necklace nicely emphasizes her face, which is very nicely done, without any flaws. I mostly like the legs, although I do not know why. They are captivating.
I would say that you made very much effort, and that can be seen. This is a very nice piece that has a rather humorous content.

Oh wow, the colors on Sinchi's kimono are amazing. They go so well with her. Ma'Kava is looking very sexy in hers and I'm loving the look on her face.
