Description DEAL WITH IT

Wanted to make this for a loooong time, long time...

Lately been making more species for Astronautical and expanding the EU so I decided it'd be a good time to take a few hours out of a Friday to finally make this thing.

Not much to say, just the species comprising the Covenant. The only species I left out is the Prophets, which are one of my favorites unfortunately. The fact of the matter is I ran out of room on the page and saw no way to put them, so I just compensated by elongating the Engineer and making it larger than I initially set out to do.

I think personally the Engineer came out the best, then probably the Hunter. As you can see, your shields recharge a lot- oh wait, I mean, as you can see I chose to use the CE rendition of the Hunter, my personal favorite incarnation. the rustic shield plate has always looked cool to me, but I also fused the CE design with the fuel rod appearance from Reach.

The Jackal Major is based upon the appearance from 2.

The Brute is a regular piece of **** from 2.

The Grunt is the design from 2.

If you didn't already know, my favorite of the series is Halo 2. The Great Betrayal and restructure is definitely the most interesting segment of Halo lore for me, and the Arbiter is my favorite Halo character. Not to mention the atmosphere alone of Halo 2 is great, everything feels so, on it's own... if that makes any sense. By that I mean Halo 2 feels to take it's own risks that of which 3 didn't seem to emulate. Halo 3 felt a tad too grounded by similarities to CE, which is understandable, especially since you return to 04. Nonetheless it's totally agreeable that Halo 2 as a whole was a beautiful successor to the masterpiece that was CE, even with it's rush and other impediments. There is never a dull level, and the music is Marty at his finest. Another thing that makes it exceed 3, 3's score seemed to borrow a LOT from CE, which is wonderful don't get me wrong but 2 did just the right amount of new tracks.

My personal favorite Covenant species is the Sangheili, then the Unggoy, then the San 'Shyuum, then the then the Huragok, then the Mgalekgolo, then the Kig-Yar, then the Yanme'e, then the Jiralhanae.

Feedback is very much appreciated!

Yeah I originally was going to draw them in my more traditional cartoon style, but realized they'd look like I just redrew them in the style I always did in Middle School. They still retain a bit of toonishness, ish, yeah... Thank you though!!!!

Everyone that's seen it seems to comment on the coloring, I do agree it looks different than my normal but I colored and shaded the way I always do!! I guess when you use sketchbook paper as opposed to printer paper it yields a significant difference.

You are quite welcome,
Well... the tooth of the paper may be different too. It may have a lot less to it. Sharpening your pencil and pressing hard can also get rid of the texture.
