King Cnidarius and Queen Anabel are protected by the Royal Jelloid Guards in their palace on the Jelloid Homeworld. The guards have been a tradition of the lineage for as long as the Jelloid Monarchy has existed. The Jelloid armed forces do not discriminate however the royal guard does, only Jelloid individuals with the cranial bell shape reminiscent of Earth's Portuguese Man O War are eligible to become royal guards and the application and training process is immensely rigorous. Those that make it into the force are treated exceptionally well and like family by the Royal Family. They are the most loyal of soldiers the Alliance knows, and will give their all for the King and Queen.Their garments are predominantly for show, they do not wear helmets, but they wear armored chestplates and shoulderpads, their other garbs is a dress. Males and females both abide by the same dress code. Their armaments differ depending on their station within the Palace, but generally they are equipped with a standard laser blaster pistol, and a shock-staff which they are highly proficient in using. They are masters of hand to hand combat as well. Hardly anything can best a Royal Guard in combat.

Not only do I love the design of the guard, but also the way you lined and
coloured it with such nice comfy, soft palette. It's really smooth and elegant,
just like the family they protect.

Awww what an adorable comment haha! Thank you so much! I really enjoy how this turned out as well, I've decided that I want to make the very PLANET they live on always be depicted in such a soft and welcoming look, colors like this, really avoid angular architecture, try to make the skyscraper towers end in bells like a Jellyfish (If I can achieve that without them looking like penises xD) etc.! I mean, what on Earth is softer than a Jellyfish?!

I love this bright, colorful design!
Why don't they wear helmets? Their heads look like they would be very vulnerable.

It's moreso a purely aesthetic choice haha, I like to have a visible hydrozoan head if it's this pretty HAHA but I justify it with two excuses.
1.) Jelloids are actually incredibly malleable and stronger than they look, I know a Jellyfish is the last thing you think of when you think of durability but Jelloids are like so squishy and soft that cutting or hurting them takes a lot of effort, they are kinda like rubber.
2.) The guards are so skilled that landing a hit on them is nigh impossible haha!

Thank you Rizz THANK YOU!!!! They are a design I have had lying around for just, YEARS NOW! But never actually drew a nice quality image of til now. I like imagining them fighting cause like, if you've got the body type of a Jelloid it's hard to imagine you being good at hand-to-hand combat but they are! They'd even be able to fight back someone like Scyllus.
The colored lines I feel really helped give this the overall calm and subdued look I wanted to go for. I don't ordinarily do colored lines cause I can never seem to find a color that matches a picture well haha!

Any way! I can see why the color of lines would be hard for you to pick, your art has so many colors to it!
However, I can see each character outlined in one specific color.

Great stuff! I like the design and also the light colors and the texture of the white outline. Nice description, too. Like your other ones, it really helps get a feel for the world you've created. And you know, just a "standard laser blaster pistol", the usual.~ xD

HAHAHAOMG well people may not carry concealed weapons here on earth everywhere you go but.... Come on girl... let's be honest with ourselves, even those highly opposed to gun ownership wouldn't be able to resist carrying around COOL BRIGHT LASER GUNS THAT LIKE, SHOOT BRIGHT COLORS N STUFF WITH AWESOME SOUNDS TOO
I thank you so much, this was an interesting thing to play around with since I don't ordinarily play around with such a soft set of colors. The Jelloids in general are a soft and calming race their planet is predominantly all colors like this in regards to the architecture, plant life, and clothing.

Lineart in general? The color of the lines? Or both?!?! Regardless I think you very very much! The white outline, if it weren't with crayon I think would make it look almost like a sticker!
