What I came up with over the 24 hour comics day weekend - a more personal piece with a bit of history of how I started drawing, why I kept drawing lots of wolves, and why I haven't been drawing much of anything lately.Had a great time at 24HCD this year - met some awesome folk and saw amazing art aplenty, looking forward to the next one indeed! My self-imposed constraint this year was doing a comic in full color, and despite a lot of weird and wonky choices, I managed to finish way early and have lots of time to wander around after. Wahey!
Caution: this wasn't intended to be a longform comic, but I think clicking is annoying sometimes so I merged 'em and "solved" the paging issues with those beautiful black bars there.
PS CS6, Intuos 4, done in 19.5 hours straight ('bout 20 or 21 with touchups)

Oh wow, what a wonderful comic ! First, I really love your style, and then, this deep story is really touching... this is sad and yet a very amazing story ( and I can relate in some ways...). Beautiful work !

ikr. I would have loved to, but I'm back in school again with 28MCs lulz. BLEH. Someday, someday. The comic just really describes the way I feel some days. These days. So I just try and accept it for what it is and draw when I have the time and inspiration to. But it's really true - the bit about not really recognizing your work anymore, all of a sudden when you go back to it after a long hiatus.

Barfing out a comic like this in some strange style I hardly recognize too was a sort of way of coming to terms with it too (hence why I'm not going to edit this one). Bah humbug, life -- wish you well with your art journey too! And the mid-sem one, at present ><
