Thanks to =Tora044 , I've gotten hooked on Wolf and Spice and I just HAD to draw Horo. . .she's just too adorable XDNo critiques please, I had a helluva time with this one. The background looks rushed because it WAS rushed.

Ah, the lovely Horo! You did a really good job on her and the background fits to a T. Ever considered drawing Holo in her true form?
I really like that highly unique series - the focus on economics, trade, and all the politics that surround money was fascinating. I've only seen the first 13 episodes - waiting on Funimation to release the 2nd season. And I'll likely end up buying the translated novels at some point.

It's been out on TV and in downloadable form, but I'm speaking of the licensed version.
It doesn't even have a release date yet, other than "sometime in Spring 2011."

I don't know much about this Horo character, but based on some of the pictures I've seen of her, she always looked devious or mischievous to me. However, your version is the best picture I've seen of this character IMO. Also, the background is simple, but very effective. I don't think it looks rushed to me. Finally...*screams like a fangirl*....sorry, can't help myself, cat/fox girls are my weakness =3

However rushed the backdrop may be, it does look appropriate for the picture. A nice matching color scheme, and it looks like the kind of spot one would pic for a photoshoot. Very cute work on her and her outfit!

So I was looking through my messages this morning and sorting through the deviations that had popped up, and I stopped short when I thought I saw a familiar harvest-goddess sitting in my messages folder.
"Hooooooooooooooly cripes."
I have got to honestly say that I never would have seen this coming - friggin awesome work! You did a great job on both the dominant colors and highlights of her hair, ears, and tail, and the background does an excellent job of complimenting her colors. I also love the sort-of gaze on her face, and the "shiny" in her eyes. Recently, I've been trying not to spaz out in adding lots of things to my favorites, but I've got to make an exception here. Excellent work!
