Gotta say. . this was fun to do X3 It started out just as a space-art practice pic but soon evolved into this monstrosity after a morning of asswhooping on DoW2. Despite its "simple" appearance, this took just about the majority of the afternoon to do, especially that goddamn xeno-infested cloud of badness.

That moon had no chance at all. 
One thing that isn't clear - the moon looks like it was completely penetrated by one of the "tentacles" coming out of the cloud? Or is that behind the moon (not poking through it)? If it went through, you might want to add some chunks of the moon being ejected out the back.

Necrons never won they lost to the Eldar+old ones who built some kick ass inventions to keep them down. Also all C'tans but three have been slain.
The nightbringer was defeated by a normal ultramarine gang in "Nightbringer, the ultramarine novel". And the dragon was imprisoned by the Emperor around the 14th century, this he did with a normal house, sword, fullplate and a lance. And he imprisoned him in mars...

Also the fleets of the space marines could blast apart planets with focused fire in Horus Heresy. This was done by the Nightlords fleet that blasted apart their own homeplanet to broken shells and dust.
Tyranids eating moons though, not very canon but makes a kick ass picture. Good work Blaz!
