Description Directly descended from survivors of the elf capital’s destruction, High Elves are physically taller than common elves but are physically much frailer, their bodies invariably and horrifically deformed. As a result of this the vast majority cover themselves in shrouds and masks, and yet others seek improvement through mechanical implants and surgery, though results vary dramatically between individuals.

As the wealthiest of all elf tribes, the High Elves control a great number of major businesses started by the race, particularly trade markets, and are treated with the utmost respect by other elves, seeing as the blood of their earliest forefathers runs in their twisted veins.

As far as non-fey are concerned, they are nothing more than seedy, delusional cripples still clinging to a greater status that they haven’t held since centuries and never will hold again.

Reminds me of one book cycle, where, at the first, things look like it's a generic fantasy, but last chapter of the first book reveals, that things are far, far away from what they seem to be.

First of all, the world is not just fantasy - it's a post-apocalyptic Earth, where, during the WW3, there was a lot of weapons deployed, including the horrific biodestructor.

Orcs, "humans" and so on are, actually, mutated humans, with "magic" being psychic abilites, created by some of the mutations.

Elves are much-less-mutated syrians, who retained some of their high-tech equipment (as well as got some more from americans thanks to some of their agreements) and are trying to survive in this world.

Necromancers are americans, struck by multitude of genetic illnesses (a lot of them being result of the biodestructor) and having to use exoskeletons and other tech to compensate for them. They've retained most of their technology and ability to produce it, but have to rely on imports of donor blood from New Africa to continue their lives (they can't die of old age, but they have to commence blood tranfusions on regular basis to heal the damages and their own blood can't be used for it). To make sure existing blood bank is sufficient for everyone, most of them stay in cryo-sleep, while the rest work to keep everything running smoothly, though they have shifts of who is awake and who is sleeping.

I take it that Warhammer 40 k was a big inspiration for the creation of this guy.

The design of the mask coupled with the cloak makes me think of Dr. Doom. Β If there was an actual High Elf Dr. Doom, that would be perfect.

the mask and hood along with reddish main color made me think more of Jack of Blades actually
but of course the concept here is really different
