somewhat canon. ciaran was in love with artorias but as with most things in dark souls, it's ruined by the abyss and undead curse. you can give her artorias' soul as a memento after you defeat him in the game.

I know Dark Souls is...... Well, is a "dark" series, Β But I really wish there was some way to free Artorias from the Abyss and keep him alive. Β No matter how many times I wanna use his greatsword.... I just can't cause I feel so bad for Ciaran.
