Description
Ever since I heard Endless Possibility and saw the Unleashed trailers- I was pumped up to do some decent fanartz!
This was done entirely in Painter X- then I booted it Photoshop to touch it off... unfortunately the colors got too bright, so I had to retouch those to make it look as close to the original colors as possible.
This makes me feel happy- I dunno why, but I had fun doin' it.
I tried playing around with trying perspective again- >8D making, the explosion was fun.
I dunno what else to say really...
Maybe next time I do an explosion, I'll add pieces of debris or somethin'-

Whoa! Looks like he just KO'd the "Eggsterminator" before making his grand escape from the Death Egg!
His face is full and bright, eyes shining with a big smile. No muss, no fuss--just Sonic beaming after a victory as he sprints to safety. But I think the best part of the piece is his right hand. The coloring and tinting ar perfect, combining the white of his gloves with the orange and red from the light source behind it. It is so strong and solidly drawn, as though it were carved out of marble. It symbolizes his power and the unmovable sense that he has been victorious in a serious venture! So much is expressed through our body language and especialy our hands, and you have done the same here!
The explosion itself is awesome, bubbling and brewing, like a stew that is overflowing. The shape of the concussive blasts show that it is growing larger and stronger, trying to find any seam from which to exapnd and break out, but it is being funneled down this long, impenetrable hallway. Such a claustrophic environment leaves only the blast as the light source, darkened in the hallway a little, but you have done a good job giving everything an orange hue as a result.
I like what you did with the perspective, too, since we can imagine his body would "appear" to stretch a little as he approached those impossible speeds that would be necessary for him to outrun an explosion. The fact that this is all painted makes the light a little fuzzy on other objects, which is perfect for the light source being a blazing fire. All around, a meticulously organized and drawn piece! Makes me want to try my hand at some more! Well done

Aw, man, great job on this one. I like how he's somewhat distorted, he does something to that effect while he's trying to get away from Eggy's hand of doom. XD

gah my dA is so slow. but i didnt mind wait a bit to see the full view of this freaking awesome pic. i love the way it turned out. i can see Sonic is not afraid of the fire close to him. actually... hes happy because of this challenge. hehe. you drew him very very well. i love his pose and the perspective effect. also i like the small motion blur effect you added. his left had and foot are pretty well done. wow looks t those fingers.. they are great. i really love the way you did the shading all over his body. also i like the bright coming from behind. the explosion/fires is very well done. looks like so real... *touches the screen and burns his finger* eep! O.o'

This really reminds me of the ending sequence for Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 and the opening sequence for Sonic Unleashed combined. Anyhoo, the colours, detail and effects are superior! Another masterpiece from Blaze!
P.S. When you listen to specific lines in "Endless Posibility," I think they relate to actual events. (e.g. "You're losing your speed, you're losing your flow..." could possibly refer to the slower gameplay in Sonic 2006.)
