Good for you keeping the original engine in it, I work at a place were I see way too many LS1's and small block fords shoved in to nice original cars.

Of course! I was gonna make a custom high-compression aluminum head for the baby in my machine shop class, as well as a 4-deuce intake w/ split headers and those new 9-Super-7 carbs from Speedway Motors. Also thinking about sourcing a Packard 356 crank and rotating assembly to make it a stroker. You know any good cam grinders? I want the idle to sound like this [link] .

Eehh, getting there. The blown Ardun mill's proving to be difficult to draw. Mostly have to pry my sister off the computer, though.
About the stroker, Egge Machine Co. has a 356 straight-8 rotating assembly, I think. Maybe I'll check their site...
