Description Not sure if you kats heard, but I recently bought (confirmed this time) a '48 Packard Super Eight 4-door sedan. And here's the concept art for it. Body mods include a club coupe conversion, 4 1/2" chop, smoothed bumpers w/ stock bumper guards, full fender skirts, drilled Buick-style portholes, '46 Nash hood ornament, funtional triple lake pipes, ripple caps, frenched headlights and '40 Ford tail lights. BTW, I do intend to keep the 327 c.i.d. Straight-8. However I am going to build it up, you know, high compression head, competition cam, split headers, four-deuce intake, the works.

Good for you keeping the original engine in it, I work at a place were I see way too many LS1's and small block fords shoved in to nice original cars.

Of course! I was gonna make a custom high-compression aluminum head for the baby in my machine shop class, as well as a 4-deuce intake w/ split headers and those new 9-Super-7 carbs from Speedway Motors. Also thinking about sourcing a Packard 356 crank and rotating assembly to make it a stroker. You know any good cam grinders? I want the idle to sound like this [link] .

Not sure where you can find one in Kansas.
Better look through some phonebooks.
There's plently in the west coast.

How's my tub coming along?

Eehh, getting there. The blown Ardun mill's proving to be difficult to draw. Mostly have to pry my sister off the computer, though.

About the stroker, Egge Machine Co. has a 356 straight-8 rotating assembly, I think. Maybe I'll check their site...
