Mizuko, means Water child, is the Queen of Neptune during the Silver Millennium, she is known as Queen Umi on Neptune. She is the Mother of Princess Cordelia/Michiru Kaioh and Princess Assana/Hamako. When Mizuko transforms she becomes Sailor Millennium Neptune and inherits the Deep Aqua Mirror. Mizuko is a quite feminine and girly but she doesn't mind getting her hands dirty every now and then. She likes classical music, reading, painting and plays piano at Queen Serenity's parties. She is great friends with Queen Amphitrite and the other Queens of the outer kingdoms. She doesn't play a particular role in Queen Serenity's court but she does watch out for trouble through her mirror.

Her guardian: Lyn (means waterfall) Whilst Lyn does try to help Mizuko with her duties, Mizuko prefers to keep her out of royal duties and treats her as a friend instead off a royal adviser. She treats her with kindness and likes to pamper her every now and then now. Eventually, when Princess Assana is born, Lyn has two children: Nixie (Little water sprite) and Tethys (Wife of Oceanus)
