Description Felicia, my favorite cat lady of all time!

I'm actually very proud of this one. It really brings out her playful side!

And once again, I can't help but wonder: How come we don't have another Darkstalkers game?

Enjoy!

==UPDATE==

Holy Nipples, Thanks for the feedback and faves everyone! [I flipping love you all...]

==UPDATE NO. 2==

Okay, a couple of people told me what happened to the series. Very depressing and heart wrenching for me, but thanks for letting me know!

Like Trainwreck said previously in the comments, Darkstalkers wasnt as profitable as Street fighter 2, but that doesnt mean that was not profitable. The first two games were big hits, what didnt worked so well were the other five clones of the first games that were not published outside Japan.
Basically they wanted to do the same as SF2 and sell twenty clones of Darkstalkers with some tweaks each time and some new character but after Super Street fighter 2 Turbo players were already very tired of that gimmick. After that, DS3 on playstation was a failure due it's lack of updates over Vampire Hunter and with just one failed game they dropped the franchise as not profitable.

Thanks for the extended explanation!

Wow, that's quite a depressing tale for the series. As much as I wish someone can revive it [along with some series from SEGA that I have barely seen at all], I'm pretty sure chances are next-to-impossible of that happening. I guess it's thanks to fans [and the crossovers and cameos] that it's still remembered to this day.

I forgot to mention that the life of the franchise was from 1994 to 1997. The first Darkstalkers in 1994 had no problems, neither Vampire Hunter in 1995 but in 1996 came out Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and Quake. You can imagine the impact of such three Huge blockbusters in the same year, suddenly everything that was not a 3D adventure, survival horror or FPS was dismissed as a unviable project, 2D fighting games were the first to recieve a death sentence.
Even with that, as you mentioned before nobody forgets about Darkstalkers. The work put on those games was so fantastic that can even overcome the total lack of interest of it's owner company, specially in the Artistic aspect. The artwork of Darstalkers influenced all anime and videogames designs, now almost every succubus is designed after Morrigan, every catgirl after Felicia and every werewolf after Talbain, not to forget that Talbain is the base model for All male Furry characters after him. Nobody will forget about Darkstalkers, it will take time but it will end in the proper hands eventually.

Because Darkstalkers just doesn't rake in the dough like Street Fighter does. That's why there isn't going to be a new Darkstalkers game for a long time (or at least until someone decides to make a Darkstalkers movie).

Classic. Just classic... I guess until then, the other series made by Capcom are just gonna have to rely on crossover games to stay [barely] alive.

(Thanks for the answer, and if there's gonna be a movie, please, for the love of Iwata, let it just be animated or something like Final Fantasy Advent Children. The RL versions always turn out horrible...)

You're welcome! Though I must inform you, I feel that a live action Darkstalkers movie (or any live action video game movie) can be good, and they will be. We just have to give it time. After all, I can remember an era when you could literally count the number of comic book films on one hand, and no one ever thought Marvel would be able to pull off A film, let alone a whole cinematic universe!
