it was extremely crowded that weekend! but i am so pleased to have made it! it was exactly what i wanted, as little of his 'movie' things as possible, and tons of his personal scribblings. i was so happy <3 he leaves absolutely every pencil mark he makes, under watercolor, under acrylic. i loved the way they took entire sketchbooks and mounted them so as not to disturb the other pages. my fingers itched, i bet the other pages were also amazing and dear to him.

when we exited, they were setting up the giant room, i didnt see her anywhere, we sort of hung around for a while but that's where everyone was gathering, we looked at other areas, went back and then took off. ive seen some of the youtube vieos now. did you enjoy it? did you sit in the chair? have you seen other performances by her?

I've only read about her, I never saw any of her performances live. It was very interesting but you have to have a taste for performance art and mine isn't very developed. I did not sit in the chair because my family was itchy to get out of the Museum after a couple of hours. It was a bit too crowded but I always enjoy MoMA.

yeah i definitely needed the basis of her performance explained to me. i think it's awesome, but i cant stand long and watch something slow either.

i did however go see the alvin ailey dance troupe in boston a few weekends ago. if it's dance i can get into it!
