Description This is my part of an art trade with

Basically it's just the human version of one of my wolf OCs, Okiruy.

Since this is my first shot at actually drawing a human body aside from stick figures, I'd say I did pretty well. The overall shading and proportions look fine.. Though I could still work on legs and feet... Hands included as well... I don't know what else to say. :l

Oh, seeing this again I can see that there's a little self-critique included so now I'll say mine (WARNING: A bit lengthy) :

I would agree with you about the feet part, I think all you would need to do is to take more observation of bare feet (feet is not my favorite subject of observation but we all have to end up observing feet if you want to master human proportions right?) and then try to observe how the shoe fits and then you can go from there. As for shading/lighting, my only say to this is to just keep in mind of the light source. The shading is okay but as a viewer, we don't know where the light source is coming from whether it be below or above, right or left, or side to side. The hat part's shading is what throws me off most because other clothing's shades tell me the light source is in front of the person with faint glow when the hat's shading tells me the light source is above the hat and somehow has a ring of shade like a cloud partially covering the sun. Even if you suppose that the two light source I mentioned exists at once in the pic, the lighting/shading would still render illogical.
Now, considering that this is your second shot with drawing a human, (keeping [link] into account) I want to say congrats to your great improvement. The arms are drawn with more logical sense to the natural human structure and the leg in this picture shows that there are bones in the legs.
What I'm especially proud of you for are the hands. In many cases I see with people who try to draw humans for the first few trials, they are usually too much of a chicken to at least draw the thumb and a few fingers until about a year or two later (I'm one of them! xD) and so they're humans always look like they have mittens on (Like your older pic where Mr.Knight's hands are in mittens). You on the other hand actually started to attempt drawing hands on an early stage so you'll be able to improve quickly since you start early on that one.
Now then, great job, human Okiruy looks adorable~! x3

It is lengthy, but I can pull a lot of things from this. ^^ Thank you for the critique and I totally forgot about that night and dragon one. -.-"
As I continue on, I do wish to actually focus on the shading, but for the most part in this particular pic, the shading was rather randomized.

Yay, I'm glad to be of some help~ I actually remembered the knight and dragon one, it's been stuck on my memory (and you know how bad my memories are) for a long time, even now. I guess it was because the knight looks so adorable xD

Btw, for the NJHS Community Service form, do you need the dates (from first quarter to final quarter) that we did campus beautification? (the service sheet is required to be turned in and campus beuatification is counted as a volunteer day and hour. It's best to turn papers in at this time before the last quarter ends) I'm sending the info out to a bunch of people so I thought I might as well ask you in case you need them.

Hm.. Nah, I don't need the dates.

Oh, okay.

Well anyways, hopefully my part of the trade gets done soon enough. I just need to come to a final decision with how I should draw the whole thing out and then the rest would come easy.

....Y-You finished your part of the trade already...!? I-I didn't even... *bangs head on desk till blood spills everywhere from the skull*

Waaaaaah......I have yet to get mine done and it's going to take a while....

Oh btw, I don't know if you remember but I recall part of the condition with the trade is that you also give yourself a critique in the art description. I wouldn't want to give my part of the critique on things you already know and accidently annoy you so I'll send in my critique as soon as you get your part of the critique done. (self critisism is good as long as you're not too harsh on yourself)

Well, do take your time while I try to get my part of the trade done, capiche!? I wouldn't want you to get annoyed with impatience one day if I end up taking a while to finish up my trade. I'd feel sad and miserable if that were to happen lolz
