Description a single stage light on remus
as he rubs his eyes
picks at his hands
occasionally touches his hair

furthest, now overwhelmed
with the weight upon his shoulders
dragging him to the ground
where he lies uncomfortably
as he stutters over the thought
same, over and over again.

answer me this, he says
you speak to explain
how there are many times
things aren't worth speaking of.
romulus, tell me what is wrong.

"a tragedy far and beyond
those that have reached under my skin
while growing up and gaining strength
im afraid too many moons
and faithful moments have occurred
to stumble backwards without falling"

in need of a moment
to feel truly looked upon
seen as a brother
binded almost at heart
free me of my desperation
to be recognized
given credit for existing
now and then
forever and never
have you given me this.

i see a roman man in a high position of power on stage talking to his brother in front of a crowd, and telling him the things he is saying. (maybe because im not in latin and i dont know who romulus and remus are but i can see him crying out to his brother at a plaza infront of a huge group of people and the crowd gasping. It also seems like something in history class that would start a war.

again.... i have no idea who romulus and remus are, though they sound familiar

The story of Romulus and Remus..
a quick summary of my favorite version.

they were twin brothers, sons of the god of mars in roman times. they were abandoned when they were very young and saved by a she-wolf and then found by a shephard who raised them. together, they built a town that continued to expand. they argued over who should be in charge. unable to decide, remus looks at the sky and sees 6 birds. romulus then looks at the sky and sees 12. they argue more, and eventually romulus kills his brother and names the town/city Roma, (or Rome).

So yes, it was actually based off of the story. it did create a war, between two brothers. your interpretation was a splendid one. my title in latin means Never Again.

I like this a lot. There is a lot of room for interpretation.

Simply amazing Schvee,

"a tragedy far and beyond
those that have reached under my skin
while growing up and gaining strength
im afraid too many moons
and faithful moments have occurred
to stumble backwards without falling"

That is incredible. Great job.
