-His dad initally panics when his mom first suggests his name, but he relaxes after she finishes with the last two syllables. The "-ary" at the end makes all the difference.

-Tends to be empathetic, often to a fault.

-Is extremely uncomfortable with lying or deceit.

-Overall smart and relatively mature for his age, more so than his dad at least, though considering his heritage he's known to still pull an occasional Watterson. Disaster can follow in his wake, but he's more likely to apologize for it.

-While he's sensitive in an overall similar fashion to his uncle, he isn't nearly as open about his feelings.

-Doesn't take failure nearly as well as his dad.

-While his mom turns into animals and mythological creatures, Zachary tends to shapeshift into things like robots and spaceships after he sheds his shell, which may be connected to his love for sci-fi. One thing he uses to aid in his transformations is listening to high-energy music on his phone.

-He's actually already left his shell once, when he was dropped as a baby. Infants with mood-influenced shapeshifting powers potentially are a pretty scary thing, so after an ordeal involving some injury and a great deal of collateral damage, his dad managed to coax him back into his shell, which luckily was still intact in two perfect halves. His bandages along with his neckerchief are the main things holding his shell together.

-Is a major Gilbert and Sullivan fanboy.
