Description The Spis region, eastern Slovakia.
Such a beautiful place.

15th July 2007, 8:00 am
There was still mist below the hills, but the sun was high up.

This is an outstanding landscape and props to you for trying something new by including the sun/flare but...and it's only MHO...it would look even better without the flare.
Just scroll down a bit until the bright blue sky is almost gone, just a hair above the gorgeous hazy mountain range, and I'm sure you'll see what I'm talking about.
Again, without the flare I'm sure that you'll have a photo that rivals the best landscape photos by pro-photographers...

yes I can see what you're going for there and thank you very much for sharing your opinion. it's nice to hear suggestions and a constructive critique, mostly from an experienced photographer like yourself.

Experienced Photographer?
Don't say that...If you only knew how little I take the camera out nowadays.

Anyways...I don't think it has anything to do with "being experienced" but it happened to me many times where I shot a scenery and was so impressed myself that I failed to see what others saw.
Just recently I reworked a photo in my gallery because some girl pointed out that it would look far better if it was in a panoramic format and she was so right.

Have a great weekend, Julia!

Wow, beautiful! I really love how you captured this. You let the sun have enough room for it's beautiful glow and still capture the flawless scenery. Great job!

Stunning!!! And quite breathtaking too! How did you keep the sun from having a black dot in the middle? Was it the angle or something?

That is rather interesting. How did you manage for it to not cause a huge glare? I've never managed such a feat, but then again, I'm still a n00b at this all...
