I honestly wasn't quite sure how to go about this one. I had the sketch in mind, started sketching, lining, coloring, and then the shading. Working on the background really kicked me into the dirt but I'm somewhat happy with the result. I'm really pushing for a style here and I'm trying to figure out a landscape style that matches my shading style. But, Onatah really manages to put a smile on my face and I want to develop her into a really close-to-the-heart type of character, but I do have the cutest little roan toki in DC that I'm excited to put into the mix.
