Extraordinary! The Darker styles are exhibited tremendously well... with the fascinatingly tumultuous, ominous and threatening sky being obscured by the leering branches of the twisted tree branches.

Some slight blur amongst the tips of the branches, which disrupts the striking sharpness a little, but adds to a slightly dreamy or even nightmarish effect, which correlates well with your theme.

Spectacular light gradient, with central horizontal light fading gradually to near black at the vertical extremes. This frames the subject nicely in a bar of growing darkness, while still providing enough illumination to reveal key detail on the for and mid ground.

A few patches could use a small amount of lightning, and a minute adjustment to the levels could improve some contrasting, but other than those minor things, this is perfect. Another great set of images!

thanks very much for all your critiques. it helps alot.

what few patches would you think? Maybe a bit more lighting on top of the stairs?

Thanks

The detail on some of the steps could be improved, and the area to the right of the stairs seems too dark to be differentiated from the stairs itself. However, with a little adjustments to my screen, they come out reasonably well... but the detail remains hidden.

And with the grassy area to the left, defining the individual strands would assist the break-up of the sky-earth border for your horizon.
