Description American 9x19mm handgun.

I like this gun a lot. It's very Glock-ish with an extra safety mechanism. What I REALLY like about it, though, is the name. XD, which stands for X-Treme Duty. It's totally X-Treme. There's even a flashlight designed for the XD called the X-Treme Mini Light, or XML. XD is my favorite emoticon, and I plan to one day own an XD.

Yeah, it's really big. I actually meant it to be big this time! Gasp!

That is Croatian HS 2000 which is licensed and sold in the US by Springfield Armory, Inc.

So does a friend of mine. He bought it at my suggestion, (though I had only read about it ) to replace his Sig that he didn't like. He was originally going to get a Glock, but he already had one before the Sig so he wanted to do something different. That was a few years ago and he's still got it, so I guess it's alright.

Well yes, I'm definitely going to recommend the X-D. (See meh gallery and you'll know why.) Unfortunately, everyone seems to use "XD" as a smiley, and it probably shows up as one. I HATE IT!!!! (Growl) Anyway, it's actually a Croatian firearm, also known as the "HS2000". In America, it's imported by Springfield Armory, and they call it the "XD". Mmmm.

Heh, yeah. I kinda feel sorry for you people over in the UK... You can't get guns... Or can you get a permit or something? I don't know anything about gun laws over there.

You can't own a gun in the UK until you are 17 years old. It is difficult to shoot one below the age of 14, but it is possible with the correct supervision.
You need to have a licence to own a gun in the UK, and getting a licence can take a very long time.
