a similar feeling, this time brighton.instead it was the night, and the rain wouldn't stop for the ages till i closed my eyes and when i opened them again it was still dark.
the sea had bled into my frigid feet, and the sun was hidden somewhere on the other side of the earth.
stars grew brighter and dimmer,
as i swam towards an island,
an island with a single lamp,
an island where i'd find reality.
a rainbow-tinted dream,
it'll sink from the sky into the deep ocean,
and it'll surge and enter my thoughts,
and you'll wish you knew what i was thinking.
are you standing there waiting?
are you the one at the pier, dancing
alone at the pier, singing
when the night begins all over again?

What is my favourite thing about this picture? The third piece of the triptych. Brighton. I've been to London over the past year, studies. And one of my best times was this impromptu train trip to Brighton at 5.30 AM in the frigid October weather. We quite literally waited on the pebble beach under a thin blanket, watching as the sky turned from dark to light and the sun rose.
And the beach... no lies, amazing.
I had the best time.
And I'm going to go back this year, I'm sure.

I think its a cool piece.
Although I am not sure what it is supposed to be. I'm not a huge fan of the rainbow coloration in the piece.

I don't think I quite fully comprehend what it's supposed to mean, either. And others have told me about the rainbow colouration also (I agree, it's very common), it's something I'll try and avoid in the future. Thanks again.
