Now for my own World of Darkness characters. This is Jasper Jones, a Vampire from the Morbus bloodline, which branches from the Mekhet clan. The following text is his bio, but I'm sure you couldn't care less about it. It's a lot to read. Merely a treat for you readers.

Character type:: Fan-based, since it’s part of the copyrighted World of Darkness: Vampire series.

Heightened Senses - When activated, Jasper's senses sharpen to a razor's edge, effectively doubling both the range and clarity of all stimuli received.

Aura Perception - Jones can open his perceptions to the psychic auras that surround all sentient creatures, thus being able to read their emotions. This occasionally allows him to identify magical beings as well, but loosely.

The Spirit's Touch - Handling an object for a moment or two, Jasper can pick up psychic impressions from it. Such impressions can tell who last held the object, when it was last held and what was done with it in the past.

Obfuscate

Touch of Shadow - With this activated, Jones can conceal small items, either in his grasp or on his person.

Mask of Tranquility - Jasper can mask his Kindred nature from onlookers, leaving them without the impression the Predator's Taint inflicts.

Cloak of the Night - This allows Jasper to literally fade from sight, becoming completely invisible even to observers. Successful use of the Cloak of the Night renders him invisible until and unless he does something to draw attention (launching an attack, smashing a window, shouting a warning), in which case the cloak drops.

The Familiar Stranger - This power allows Jasper to assume the image of whomever the subject most expects to see under meeting circumstances. He has no say in whom he 'becomes'. In fact, he is not even immediately aware of what aspect he is perceived to have, unless the target gives the identity away through verbal or behavioral clues. Note that this power does not actually change his appearance. It merely convinces an onlooker that the Kindred is someone other than who he truly is by clouding the subject's mind.

Cloak the Gathering - A more powerful manifestation of the Cloak of the Night, Cloak the Gathering allows the vampire to extend his powers of vanishing from the mind's eye over others. In other words, he can cloak himself and two other people.

Cachexy

Diagnose - Diagnose helps Jasper identify suitable vessels from the throngs of the kine. The power reveals the taint in someone's blood as it moves through his body, and it calls out to Jones's Beast.

Contaminate - By smearing a hand-held object or a small area with his own Vitae, he contaminates that object with a supernaturally resistant strain of one of the diseases he carries. Should a Mortal or Kindred touch the affected area with bare flesh or touch or ingest the object, that person heavily risks being infected.

Inflame - Once Jones successfully infects a victim with Contaminate, or identifies a pre-existing disease with Diagnose, he call out to it with the power of his blood to intensify its effects.

Plague-Bearer - Although it is not the most immediately deadly application of Cachexy, this power is the one that is most widely feared by other Kindred. Jasper can use it to infect a rival's entire heard out of spite, turn an entire coterie into plague-dogs like him, or taint broad swaths of victims at the local Rack so that they're suitable vessels for only his ilk.

Accelerated Disease - Once he infects a victim with Contaminate or Plague-Bearer (or identifies an infection with Diagnose), he may wreck havoc with the person's health. By calling on the power of his tainted blood and its sympathy with that of the victim, he can send the subject's disease into a destructive frenzy that more than likely proves fatal. This has no effect on other Kindred.

Background/history:: Before his Embrace, Jasper was a highly educated, respected medical scientist of his time, and was on his way to developing vaccines for the diseases spreading rampantly throughout the American region. There was his unfortunate night however, when one of his own coworkers, a Mekhet, Embraced him before be had his chance with the world’s medical officials. Even more so, through him, his own Sire sensed something was wrong with his new Childe.

Jasper had become what he had fought against all of his life: a disease. He was classified as Morbus, a cursed bloodline branching from the Mekhet clan. The flaw of the Morbus is that healthy blood cannot sustain their undead existence, rather they must feed from diseased and dying vessels. Jones to this night has not developed any sort of positive opinion to this bloodline, as he is forever condemned to encourage illness rather than hindering them.

Frustrated with his innovative being, Jasper voluntarily fell into a state of Torpor, a vampiric sleep that was able to last for centuries on end, with the cost of scrambling memories. He had later risen December 29 in the year 2036, with almost all of his memoirs gone, with the exception of his first name. It has also jumbled his state of bodily movement (think Jack Sparrow here) for unknown reasons, perhaps a drawback of being Morbus. In a day’s time he discovered a letter he himself had written before his long sleep. It had shared with him his Vampiric Morbus heritage, his Sire, his full name, his human family, but nothing more.

Now he remains unoccupied and bent on surviving, constantly researching worldly intelligence and attempting investigations of his own to rid him and his kind of the Morbus’s curse. Forever he will be without his original cause, driven only to promote illness, in which he had worked so hard on ridding before. He will never know...

Appearance/air(optional):: Indeed, he is usually pasty, as it can be arduous to find a daily diseased blood supply to feed upon. The skin texture isn’t entirely smooth, but more or rather hygienic, considering his state. The skin under his eyes causes him to seem especially ill, gray and dark like eye shadow. His touch is unusually warm however, for an undead.

A dulled brown color of hair, very close to the point of grey and reaches to his shoulders, with the back a little longer than the mane over his shoulders. It’s fairly shaggy, stringed and slightly tangled (like how my hair is right now XD). His lengthy bangs veil his left eye, whereas his right is clearly seen. Most of the time it carries the scent of dust from his haven.

His eyes are a very light blue/grey, replicating glass crystals in some nights or dreary stone in others. They are complicated and full of mystery, while others say they are looking into the voids of a blind madman.

It’s pretty much the same old thing he wears every day from it being his only pair of clothes. His attire looks disorganized and cluttered. A gray jacket, weather worn, durable material and reaches to his knees, drapes over a dark thin sweater. The pants are thin and dark as well, but are covered with an aged brown shawl held up by a thick leather belt. The rest of his pant legs are tucked into long, shabby boots fastened from the top and down with worn buckles. Covering his hands are grayed cut-off gloves and are a humble material. All over his form are various decorations (if you can call them that) mostly made of tattered leather. In conclusion, he looks a lot like your local street bum, only without the luggage, unattractive face and shaggy beard and a little more fashionable. Also, he has round, silver earrings.

Tall and lanky. That is the most simple way to explain is build. He has an average amount of muscle, though his waist is a little tapered. Jasper's most obvious physical characteristic is a slightly drunken stagger, accompanied by random flailing hand gestures that make him look unfocused (or possibly slightly ataxic), a side affect from his centuries old Torpor for unknown reasons. What he appears to be on the outside is a poor soul wrapped in illness, though it is not entirely the case. Yet he has a slight handsome manifestation.

Marital status:: Single and is a little oblivious to others to look.

Demeanor:: While atypical for a Vampire, Jones is known for his altruistic nature; he often puts himself in harm's way to save other people, even his victims at times. He loves getting to know his prey before feeding upon them, since they are usually in agony anyhow, and when the time comes, he grants them a path out of their misery. This knowledge comforts him to an extent.

To his enemies, Jones merely seems like a drunken idiot (though he’s not drunk, mind you) and is not worth bothering. It’s only when they antagonize others is when Jasper decides to step up and deal with the disturbance. That is possibly the only time he is drawn into scuffles, unless one is odd enough as to challenge him, perhaps execute a mug. Jones's gestures are believed to be a ploy to help keep his enemies off-guard, and it undeniably works.

His speech tends to be slurred, soft and rapid. Sometimes his train of thought goes awry and begins speaking of other things. All in all he is clever in words and is almost always right when arguing with others. He finds the loopholes in everything and uses them to his advantage. This trait often angers others, perhaps attracting more danger than normal.
