I recently noticed the amount of attention my old Fan Art for Tamora Pierce's books was getting, so I determined it was about time to update it.This remake was inspired by ~wildmagesapprentice ([link] )

" 'Alanna' he whispered, 'I'm takin' advantage of you now, because I may never catch you with your hands full again.'
He kissed her softly and carefully.
Alanna trembled, too shocked to do anything but let it happen.
'There.' George released her. 'Think over what I said about love.'
' Pigs might fly,' she snapped, her voice shaking. 'I should have stabbed you!'
He chuckled infuriatingly. 'No. I won't let you stab me and ruin our friendship. Will you be afraid to face me after this?'
Alanna felt herself turning beet red. This was too much! 'I'm not afraid of no one, George Cooper,' she yelled. 'Especially not you!'
'Until next time, then.' He saluted her and headed back down to the city, whistling."

Eheheehe I remember this moment - and I remember thinking simultaniously "what a trickster" at George and "calm down, no need to shout" at Alanna xD I love the way you shaded George and Alanna looks like she's leaning over carrying boxes and is surprised.

Sweet! I wasn't allowed to read much fantasy as a child (I was brought up in a highly religious environment). I had to either sneak it from my school library or read "church-approved" fantasy authors, which essentially limited me to C.S. Lewis and Madeleine L'Engle. I still have so much catching up to do.
