nice work for just beginning. my main advice would be to really focus on masking. there's various techniques to help integrate objects more smoothly into the scene, rather than them looking "cut out". layer masks and selections made from alpha channels seem intimidating at first, but they make a huge difference, and aren't really that hard.

Uh... thanks! But, how exactly do you do that? And would you mask the layers after everything in manupulated, or before?

layer masks are applied to each layer. they use black and white areas to define transparency. so you can really have detailed control over how your objects etc sit on the background. i would take a look here to get a better idea of how they work.

also just play around. it's important to use things like blending modes and lighting to make sure the pieces don't seem out of place.
kind of hard to describe without showing photoshop examples, sorry.
