Description What sort of fool am I
to have shown her so freely
where I’ve hidden
the bauble of my heart,
so small but gleaming.

It showed me,
through glinting metaphor,
that it was not mine to give
but hers to have.

Compelled by the unseen
magnetic fields
or radiations of our cosmic birth;
I belong to her.

All has been careful preparation,
an alignment of energies and matter
for this longing in my soul,
this scattering light;
a revelation of incompleteness
that I know so far from her.

The proximity I desire
is only a manifestation
of the Determinism
which has laid me here
within these folds.
