Eeeee~! I love this piece! This is so beautiful! So structured, but so whimsical at the same time. And such an usual color combination, but it works so well. That, and well...I'm a peacock junkie. So I just love everything about him.

what inspired you for the pose?

Good question!!
Well, i try to derive inspiration from diverse fields!! As far as this one is concerned, i had seen something like this in one of a very old knitwork/stichwork book of my mom, so it was in my mind, & that inspired me & things just evolves when one starts working on something, ya know...................the selection of right colors was the toughest part & as for bg, i had decided, i will not make it plain, i had initialy made it a lil diff. way, but it didn't work out, but eventually with certain permutations & combinations, i got this!!

its easy to think theres always something that starts off a great deviation with just inspiration from the most simplest things!
as for the colors you mentioned, these suit it really well! but was there any other specific combinations you had in mind?

Oh yes, initially as usual (& cause i love colors), it had more colors, i splurge over colors lol, but it wasn't looking as good as it is now, so i had to rework it again, you know after you're sure of just one color, selecting the other complementary colors becomes easier!!

i hope to achieve status of a TRUE fan artist one day! ^^ hoping i can overcome new and difficult art styles and designs, but we all start from somewhere, and i believe when were on the path inspiration... we, together are unstoppable!

i hope to draw my own with such success one day, but i like my ideas to be as unique as possible, so holding back on certain types of art helps. i see too many artists here these days rushing art, getting as many deviations up as possible, but its the quality not quantity that count

thats true, but when they do pieces so fast they don't really take in and of the experience or the detail of the work...which is a real shame when art should be appreciated in any form
