I really love it! It looks really great!
First off:
I love that movie effect again! xD
The dark bars at the top and bottom add a great effect here, framing it in an interesting fashion. I also love the colors you picked out for the actual background. I think it was a wise choice to range it, because it fits better than a solid color would, I think. And with that said, it kind of spices up the drawing - makes me think of a sunset or a watermelon or Fruit by the Foot [I wonder if that's still around any more...] The lightness of it too is also important
I also like how you have a similar movie fashion on the red bit, that's pretty interesting and different from the last time I was in your stack. I also like how the rings remind me of either lava or splashes in the water. It's also kind of fire-y too, both in color and form, so that's a good touch here as well.
And then of course! The character!
He is very, very cool.
I really love the pose here, and I'll jump right into the anatomy bit. For one, I totally love his facial expression. It's very striking and very smooth too, and I love the lighting and bits of shadow. He looks like he has very nice eyes, and I think my fave part would have to be the color of them and his mouth. That mouth alone is just...gold....
I love the glimpse at his clothes too. The colors are great and you did a fantastic job with the folds and shades.
What he's wearing around his neck is especially interesting too...
His hair is awesome as well! I love the color, and how it goes everywhere, while still looking neat and tidy xD
I also love how you added more subtle tones, from the top to the middle I can almost see strands, like specific kinds of strands, even though it's only just shading and lighting and such. The faint white line cutting horizontally across is neat too and I like how you added shines of white everywhere throughout too.
As my comment extends into oblivion, I just want to say one last thing: I like the positioning of the hand however, I feel, in my opinon of course, that the thumb is oddly placed. I feel as though it should extend a little bit outwards, towards the left, in order for it to land in such a position according to the rest of the hand.
Maybe it's just my eyesight though.
I do like the black outlining as one last bit! xD
But yes, I think I wrote an essay for you... Whoops, ahaha

Oh my goodness, Fruit by the Foot! I see those every now and then. You really can't beat such a classic snack food like Fruit by the Foot. Shame that they're not that popular anymore, it seems. : (

& you know, after reading your critique on his hand, I went back & I totally see what you mean.
Hands. Hands. Hands. They will forever be a struggle for me, I think. But, I know that with practice I'll get them down bit by bit, eventually, so every tip you can find and give me helps!

Silver grows his hair long in the Pokemon manga called Pokemon Special/Pokemon Adventures. This happens in the Emerald Arc, I believe.
