Finally finished this! It has only been laying around since October..and I just needed to paint the brown on one side since then :I Why do I fail at art?! Anyways watercolor portrait of a friend's english shepherd dog, she seems like such a sweetheart. Lot of rough anatomy mistakes but all in all I like how it turned out . To bad my scanner didn't.I need to play with watercolors more often, even though they are quite unforgiving.

Ohh! That looks so wonderful! I love the eyes especially. They look lively and the colour is beautiful.
I think this media fits your style perfectly! Scanner ate the colours? If this version looks this good I'd love to see the original one!
You did great job with this Syd! I like your style because it's not similiar with other styles I've seen. I've seen many semi-realistic styles,
but somehow they look pretty much same in the end. I could spot your artwork because it has the certain look what makes it original.

The scanner did eat the colors horridly, and washed the depth out of it...but it's not so bad. I was pretty much ready to be done with it regardless, I let my art projects drag on too long then I get bored and just rush :I
It makes me really happy to hear you think I have a style all my own, I wonder about that sometimes, when I'm like, does my art look like others? Like would I be able to tell if it was stole type of thing haha Now I am being the confused babbler! x3

You know, that's why I practiced fur techniques. When I first started art, I was like...I think I will become good at this...because someday it will completely anger someone and then I shall be damned! hahah just kidding! I'm glad you think I can do art in so many mediums, someday eventually though it would be awesome to have photograph like fur skills.

What a coincidence, when I started art I thought "I will become good at drawing death, murder, violence, and corpses, then everyone will fear me." And I did and they do, the end.
If you start drawing in photographic quality you'll have to get a real wolf, just so you can prove to people your skills are on par with God's. And so you can feed your enemies to the wolf.

The only time I used chalk was to vandalize the sidewalk in front of my house as a kid. I had a roommate once who could do some really nice things with pastels, but even she couldn't stand them. She preferred pencil/pen & ink.

Vandalize a sidewalk haha We were never allowed to use sidewalk chalk as kids, which I suppose if fine because I learned in kindergarten I absolutely hated the feeling of chalk. EW I just thought about it and gave myself goosebumps hahaha

Thanks my numbah one breats homegurl! ^^ Her face looks so weird at this angle because of her markings around the muzzle, but I had to put em there. And she always had her mouth smiling for no reason, so I just had to do that.
I LOVE watercolors for eyes, BUT SHIT. Pretty much reason I took 6 months is because I couldn't get the eyes to loook like they were looking in the same place, or the same colors or etc etc. I did the left eye over like, at least 10 times, and that's hard to do with watercolor. Finally I had to go with it because the paper was almost gone in that spot ahhahaha And I can teach you real quick!!

ahahhaha jk I will tots try to help you if you need it. It's basically just washes of color, like at least 20 washes or so. I liked it not being centered too! Until I finished the BG, and now looking at it onliine I think it would look better cropped and centered or something. And the cracks did turn out cool-but they were accidental fold marks from getting stuck in my sketchbook and carried around haha
