.__.;Well then... I just threw together a character which took very little imagination. She ended up looking a lot like Natiri... Oh well....
Anyways, here is my Natiri OC, Shruk'ina
I need to draw her with her dragon thing *none of this stuff is fresh in my mind and it's 2am. Bad combo.*
First deviation of 2010! Wewt!
Brushes: Unknown.
Point to be made: I used no references, well, I glanced at one before starting (that's what made me decide to do it).
Personally I'm not happy with this piece as it looks really, really funny, in a bad way... I know why, but I supose I was just killin' time.

I loved watching Avatar, and I have to say this looks almost exactly like the movie! I love Shruk'ina; 'specially with the little piece of hair.

Shruk'ina is a spectacular sky hunter of the Southern Tribe (I think that's the tribe set on the cliffs). The people call her "Shruk'ina the storyteller" as she brings the stories and legends of the Na'vi people across the lands. You can put her where ever you want. She's a drifter. Her little dragon thing is mostly grey (rather than a spectacular color) with some blue and green sections in them. I will be redrawing her at some point with her dragon thing.

The Na'vi people is the same as saying "the Na'vi race". We were introduced to three other villages of Na'vi during the movie, the horse people of the plains, those of the cliffs and... another... If they are of different tribes then their stories and legends would be different. She would also create her own stories of the Na'vi.
Yea, Ikran. I was to lazy to go check the name. The dragon, as of yet, is intentionally nameless.

This is AMAZING!! It's really good and really accurate for having no references (especially considering what time you did it at).
Before I went to see Avatar my sister's boyfriend told me it was the best movie ever. I was skeptical at first, but I now agree with him completely, and I'm going to see it again with my parents, I'm so excited!! (They really wanted to see it, so I figured it would be a good excuse for me to see it again

It was definitely in my top 3 movies...ever. I absolutely loved it! Not just visually but the story and stuff was great too... did you know the script was written quite a while ago and was scrapped because the technology didn't exist then... I picked up that useless bit of knowledge... where... I don't remember... I babble...

Yeah, James Cameron began writing it before Titanic was released.
It was NEVER scrapped. James Cameron knew that he needed to wait a few years before the CGI was where he needed it to be. I believe the idea and plot(not the script) was created about +13 years ago...
