Description I was cleaing up my Desktop and found this, then I recognized that I still didn't post it.
I guess I didn't post it because I can't say much about this pic, well I'm happy with the background, actually it is a background! Oh and I like the many details in it uhm and of course the upset Elmo <3

For the ones who didn't know: the chemical formula in the background stands for caffeine.

Oh and please download for the fullsize image.

First I gotta say, I never really paid any attention to your cartoony art here. It seems really funky and could fit right into a comic. I also LOVE the background, and I wish I could do THAT well, but I just got a few tips and suggestions. Not much of anything, but it could always help.

Is there a light turned on in the room? I can't tell if he has the light off with the computer giving all the light shine, or there is a light above somewhere because of the darkness in the top right corner makes it seem like that e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="XD"/>

If it was just the computer screen light, I would try to make more shadows behind everything to make it seem its light source is coming from that screen. But if not, then its good.

The lighting coffee mug could use a more rounder shape or more shadow because it looks a tad stretched. (I freaking love those pencils.)

For the books, I would give them more depth. Like at the edges between each one, make a shadow. I would give more darkness under the desk, and behind those blue books.

Ohhh add more brightness around the monitor of the computer. Add some white or something to make it seem popping out.

The character is wonderful. A very tasteful style that I wish I could even do hu hu hu. If you were giving him normal jeans, I would make those lines where the crotch is.. eh... (What you call them...) [link] The two sewed lines to cover the zipper area. Add that in there is just a suggestion because it seems to fit the style quite well.

But overall, its really fun!! Its a great drawing!! Keep drawing more of this stuff. a.deviantart.net/avatars/c/h/c… " alt=" " title="chuwyplz"/>

Aw, this is adorable. Who left him the note I wonder?

The background is great, btw. You got a lot of detail in there and it's all good. And you included the batteries!

Thanks for the Critique <3
To be honest, I didn't really think about the light source, I added the background after finishing the character, but I guess the screen isn't that bright and the light source is comming from a lamp above, actually it's just one lamp,so it's just brighten the foreground. Yeah some more depth in the shading wouldn't be bad, same with the zipper, I'm not going to change things here, but I keep it in mind to make it the next time better.

Hu hu hu, don't worry I don't usually think about dat stuff anyways either

But you'll do even greater in the future.

I mean, well if the pants like that is your style, you don't have to change it.

But it would look better with a zipper, I hust didn't think about while drawing the pic.
It's too bad that those pictures needs a lot of time to do. So I don't make an background like this all the time, I guess it depends one the picture itself.

I hope nobody minds that the whole Darkwing Duck fandom replaced all my other ones :/ I just don't feel like drawing something else lately.
