The eye brightness really works with the dark colors and background, I think you needed to add more to the lines, (I hate working on lines tho tbh)

That makes sense to me, I don't want to draw realistically.

The eyes look great, and I think the white patches in the sclera add a nice bit of flavor to the image. Β They do a great job at communicating the solemness of the image, and they do a great job at standing out, being both colorful and in the light. Β However, I feel that the colors are a bit too dark in this drawing. Β From the head up, it's great: the eyes stand out and look great, while the transition from the dark fur to the light sky is clear and striking, but for the body, the color is moving from a dark brown (almost black with the shadows) to a dark blue-grey, which is also almost black because of the shadows. Β Off there in the corner, most of the details are lost because of that.
The background, though, is gorgeous. Β The blurring effect works nicely here, and it fits with the clouded sky and the light coming from the blocked sun. Β It's not quite there, but it's solid enough to be seen.
I enjoyed the drawing, and it's great seeing that the background worked out after all of those crashes.

Thank you very much, Ankaa! I do agree that the picture turned out kinda dark, unfortunately, that's something I haven't quite fixed just yet :'D I'll try to keep an eye on it in future pictures though!

I'm honored I'm able to do such a thing haha, and I can attempt my best! Really, the biggest advice I have is to never stop drawing, and don't be afraid to use references whatsoever! Even if you're not confident in your art, if you just pull yourself through and keep drawing regardless, soon enough you'll notice that slowly, but surely, you're most certainly improving. References are honestly an artist's best friend, and if real life photos just aren't cutting it, don't be afraid to browse others' art to see how they interpret drawing a specific thing! These two things are honestly what's helped me the absolute best while I'm drawing to get to where I am today, and have gotten me through the rough spots all the same. <33
