Couple things to say about this...

1) I've been trying to draw a mermaid with that sort of tail for literally a week. I've done so many sketches and scrapped them or kept them but hated them. They've all just looked WRONG and I've wanted it at that angle too, like it's swishing in motion. Ugh. It's so hard to draw those sorts of tails when you can't draw perspective. So I'm proud of that.

2) I want to draw some cooler things than my usual cartoonist style to pop into my portfolio which I'll be needing to gather together later this year since I graduate and I want to get into Graphic Design c:

3) I really wanted to draw my own version of "The Little Mermaid" as I'm researching fairytales for a major work for school and part of it I want to talk about the art used so I thought perhaps I'd draw my own illustrations instead of getting them from the internet.
