Actually there is a funny story about him. Initially he was a minor AI boss who had to follow the orders or his memory will be wiped out. When Raiden (main protagonist) defeated him, he removed the block from the Blade Wolf brain and gave him freedom. Blade Wolf soon joined Raiden as a sort of a reluctant sidekick and started to learn such weird humanΒ concepts as "honor" and "friendship" and so on.
