Description
This is an illustration I did of my mother and I when I was a little girl. I choose to do it in a watercolor style because that seems to be her favorite.
As a kid Beauty and the Beast was one of my favorite movies. I wanted to be Belle in the worst way, so one day, she decided to take the clothes that best matched Belle's out of her closet, and dress me up in them. She did my hair, my make up, put her jewelry on me, she made me feel like a princess. This is one of my most special, and favorite memories with her!
The mirror I am holding is the singing Beauty and the Beast mirror toy from the 90's, the apron she is putting on me is one from dad's shop, which I would then use later as a painting smock. The cat is my childhood pet, Willy.
