It was the 30th of December and it was a quiet evening in my mansion. We were in the living room. Amaimon was playing the DS, Behemoth was sleeping on the floor and I was on the couch reading my manga. Everything was silent until I heard Amaimon's voice.

"Brother, what is your resolution for this year? Mine is to not eat more than a package of candy per day." he said while looking at me.

"Hmm, now that you mention it, I have no idea what my resolution for this year can be." I lied while looking back down at the pages and everything was silent again.

"Hei, I'm hungry. I'm going to grab a snack, want something?" Amaimon asked me while he got closer to the door.

"No, I'm fine." I said while watching the door closing. When I was sure he wouldn't come back I put down my manga and started to laugh a little. "Aa, my naive little brother. He didn't even notice that I lied to him. Of course I know what my resolution this year is." I stand up and said loudly.

"This year I will make Amaimon mine." I finished the sentence whit a proud face. But my proud face fall when I heard growling. I looked down to find an anger Behemoth looking at me.

"What do you want?

"Grrrrr"

"What's wrong with you? I can't understand you. Why are you so angry at me?"

"Grrrrrrrrrrr"

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?! Stop growling! I have to make a plan to make Amaimon mine."

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"

"O, so that's what makes you angry. Well deal with it. Amaimon is going to be mine and mine alone." I started to laugh like maniac until I felt a sharp pain in my leg.

Behemoth was biting my leg. I started to yell at him and before I know it, we started to fight. Behemoth was tough for a hobgoblin, but in the end I won.

"HA! In your face!" I said and punched Behemoth on the head for the last time. But suddenly I felt a dark aura behind me. Slowly I turn around to see an angry Amaimon staring at me.

"Amaimon it's not what it looks like. Behemoth started it, I was just defending myse-"and everything went dark.

I woke up a few hours later. My cheek hurted, so I went to the mirror to see why. I was a little shocked that I had a black eye. Amaimon must be really angry with me to punch me. I should find him and apologies to him.

It took me five minutes to find Amaimon in the kitchen with Behemoth sleeping beside him. Slowly I approach him.

"Hey little brother." I said quietly but Amaimon just ignored me.

"Listen, I'm sorry I punched Behemoth." I said with sincere voice, but I was lying. I really wasn't sorry for fighting with Behemoth, but for making my little brother angry.

"Really? Are you really sorry for what you did to Behemoth?" he asked me suspiciously.

"Emm, yea." I said to him a little uncertainly.

"Ok, I forgive you. Anyway have you decided what your resolution for this year will be?"

"Emm, yes. My resolution is to be more kind to Behemoth."

"I really like your resolution brother." He said happily.

And with that we started talking about other stuff. But I felt a little sad that I had to lie to him again about my resolution. My resolution is still to make Amaimon my property.
