That's extremely homophobic, you know. Why should love be considered weird just because it exists between two of the same gender? It's not fair that it's only seen as normal by some when it's between two of opposing genders.

i dont have a problem with gays at all, many and i repeat many of my CLOSE family are gay and i love them as much as the next, however i was brought up in a strong christian background (mind you im still a child) thus having certain views that i AM entitled to by the way therefore if that makes me homophobic, so be it. If homosexuality was normal, then why is their AIDS? why can't they have children like any other "couple"? I dont hate gays as people, i just dont like the sin. Thank you for this conversation

There is no sin whatsoever in homosexuality. How is loving a sin? I'm an Athiest, but God created everything and everyone, did He not? Therefore, God created homosexuals. If he did not wish for them, why would he create them? He tells us to 'Love thy neighbour' and strongly encourages the act of love, right? If so, why would He be so against love, despite gender? I was taught that God will love each and every one of us, despite our actions, beliefs and sexualities. I'm sure He wouldn't consider loving another of the same gender as a sin. And how does AIDS makes homosexuality any less normal? AIDS is an STD, it's not like homosexuals caused it. Homosexuals cannot have children, obviously, but it's not as if every homosexual couple would have the desire and intentions to do so. Besides, ever heard of 'adopting'? You say it as if the only purpose of human life is reproduction. I find this idea very sickening. If we were created for only such purposes, why would we have become this advanced in technology? Why would we have become the dominant species? Our purpose is not to reproduce. I like to believe we live to love, simple as that. Might I add that if you ar still merely a child, you should absolutely not be on this website in the first place.

Leviticus 18:22 states "A man shall not lie with man as with a woman." Leviticus 20:13 says"If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them" 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Says "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God." God also gave us free will such as to steal, but that doesn't make it right Also I acknowledge that homosexuality is not the only thing that is condemned as for adultery, stealing, etc.And by the way, I always thought a teenager is still a child under the eyes of society.

I know. I'm not an idiot, I do my research. I've heard all such statements before. I, at first, found them very hard to believe. Surely these statements cannot be the true word of God. I'm certain God would love and respect you, despite who you love. I fail to comprehend how the mere act of LOVE counts as a sin! It disgusts me how some would believe that their loving, forgiving God, who purposefully ENCOURAGES the act of love would say such things! Surely you can not be so ignorant as to believe in anything these people wrote! Did God write the Bible? NO! So the fact that a man should not lie with a man is NOT God's true words! (I also hope you realise the Bible could of and has been modified over the years.) I'm not saying you shouldn't believe in the Bible, I would never, EVER go out of my way to attempt to modify one's beliefs, I understand they are extremely important to them. All I ask of you is to open your mind and heart. I belive, that despite being an athiest, that it is God's intention to help spread love, peace and acceptance throughout humanity. If that is the case, why would He be so against the act of love, just because it exists between two of one gender? Gender is COMPLETELY irrelevent in love! It doesn't MATTER if they're both men or both women, what MATTERS is that they LOVE eachother! Why is that so WRONG?! And no, a teenager is a teenager, NOT a child. Yet perhaps you are merely a child, seeing as you are so immature and ignorant to the extent that you believe your God would hate someone merely because they LOVE.

its funny how this comes from an atheist, and you've gone in to so much depth in to proving me wrong, the same with the rest of civilization. I had no intentions of upsetting you and causing such distraught, I simply wanted to state my opinion which clearly isn't allowed by you. And I did not call you an idiot at all i simply quoted scriptures from the Bible that I felt was relevant to your argument. I have no issue with Love, as one cannot define Love because love is what brought life. You say "surely you can not be so ignorant" implying that my belief is wrong which would in all bring us a step back to this entire situation. But I'm going to ignore that and say well done for having such thorough research into a belief you have not yet practiced. You have got what you want which is winning. But my belief still stands strong, I hope you can respect my views, the same way I respect yours and every other religion.
By the way, you call me immature and ignorant (thank you) but I must say
1. I have not in any way tried to call you names or attack you so this I found quite upsetting
2. You say I am "ignorant" but why can't you accept that I belief something different to you?

Oh, so since I'm an athiest, I'm not allowed to share my opinion and attempt to make the world a brighter place? I never said your opinion isn't allowed, I'm merely shocked that you consider love between two men/women to be a sin. I never meant to imply that your belief is wrong, I aplogize if it appeared that way. Again, I only meant that you were ignorant if you considered love between two of the same gender to be a sin. I certainly respect your views, but I must disagree. I respect the religion, beleif and views of everyone on this planet, unless they're a total dick about it, which you haven't seemed to be.
1. I do apologize for my prior behaviour. I'm just very eager to help open your mind and heart into a state of acceptance, tolerance and love for all, despite sexual orientation. I got very upset to see that you consider homosexuality as a sin, despite it being proven to be found in many species.
2. I never said I didn't accept it. I just found it very hard to believe that someone is so against the act of love.
