So I saw the movie 'Precious - based on the novel Push by Sapphire' last night.I really liked it. One thing that kept going through my head while watching wasn't any of the bad stuff that happened in the film, it was the fact that Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) had such a distinctive look.
I kept thinking, "Man! This girl has a face that I wanna draw right now!"
So yeah - as soon as I got home from the theatre, I quickly sketched this with blue pencil and black ballpoint pen.
I recommend going to see the movie. It ain't no picnic or sunshine and rainbows type movie but it's good.

this is really impressive. I just saw the movie and cant believe there is so little art made about the film because I, like you, loved the face of Gabourey Sidibe! (and a lot of other characters)

No,I do not. I find it to be well written. The casting choice simply sets it apart from years of urban drama in a simial vein
