Dude, I know you're not supposed to do this (since it's practically incestuous), but I think I've totally fallen in love with my own character.

I can't stop drawing him!! And I like writing about him! He's one of my absolute favorites. It's so bizarre.

Ever since I designed him, I grew really attached to him. In the original Magic's Shadow (Mahou no Kage), Orochi and Michiko did not exist and Raiden was accompanied by ditzy twin girls. I got stuck in the story and stopped.

(Actually, Michiko did exist, but she was the most random student ever. She was just that background character with a name that was mentioned. And the way I imagined her was very different than how she looks now.)

Then I recently got back into it, started designing new characters, elements, and Spell Stones. Orochi and Michiko were originally designed as random cameo characters that just served the role as Ice and Poison Elements. Now, they have bigger roles, seeing that the twins were dumb and unnecessary. (Don't get me wrong, I think twins are awesome. Hence I love the Hitachiins and two of my friends from school are twins.)

But I digress. Orochi just has some layers that I've found myself interested in. I give him more and more character and he just seems kind of alive in my head. I wouldn't call him one of "my boys", but I really like him...
