Description
Katsuki was up early for his morning walk when something caught his attention by the dock.
At first it seemed like an unfortunate beached dolphin but the sight became clear the closer he came to it that its upper half appeared human. It was exhausted injured and tangled in tight netting. Katsuki had found a mermaid. The stories of mermaids dragging sailors to the bottom of the ocean kept him cautious but he approached and knelt by the exhausted mer. His movement made the presence of the blond known and the mer tried weakly to twist away emitting a sound disturbingly like a screaming human.
"I'm not going to hurt you,"Katsuki insisted quickly irritated by the thrashing worsening the injuries from the barbed netting. The mer stopped and looked at him as if it could understand the words. It was already a shock enough that the creature was on the shore but if it could understand him as well then the Mer was intelligent equal to the human race.
