tumblr . commissions . facebook . etsyQuick challenge for myself to make a last minute entry for Cape Billowing's Fairy Tale Draw Off. Finished this in less than 24hrs. Felt good to draw something for myself too ^^
The tale of the Little Mermaid, both the Disney and Hans Christian Andersen versions, is one of my all time favourites. Though what I particularly like about the original, and all other original fables and fairy tales, is the dark and dismal endings full of warning. In this case, it's the ultimate sad ending where, after the little mermaid is unable to stab her unrequited love in the heart, she accepts her fate and turns in to sea foam.

Naww thanks for the concern Stephanie ^_^ don't worry, we're fine here. The weather was pretty full on for a few days but we're on high ground so no flooding and luckily no damage.

That's good! Because I saw on the new some of the flooding and I was like "gee hope Laura and the family is ok" but it's good that you ok! ^^
