Alright you guys, here is the finished piece! (those few of you who follow my current WIP you've probably already seen this.) This is the finished gift art for Etomo of their beautiful character!
Ooh, it feels good to use MS paint again, although my hand hurts now...haha. Ah well, sure makes work go by faster!
I decided to mess around with some different colors for lighting and shadows. I went for a redder tone for the shadows and a greenish yellow tone for the highlights. After doing that, it looked kind of out of place and random so I decided I'd put Hazel and this character flying around some glowy orby green things haha. Makes sense, I know.
Anywho, I hope you like it!

This is so CUTE, aaaaaaaaaah!! I haven't seen MS Paint work in a while (I've wandered away from it myself as I get more into painting) so it's weirdly comforting to see the pixely lines and shading. The sparks in the background are spot on and I love your color usage, the warms and the greens mix together so well. Skvader looks so cute, and Hazel looks so happy ;__; Ahh this is so nice, thank you so much! I've gotta go throw it at all of my friends now hehehehe.

I've been great though. There's just so much going on, everything is different and good and busy. I went without drawing for a very long time, but I'm starting to pick it back up again. How are you?

Well good, I definitely know how that goes haha. I did the same. It's definitely worth it to keep art around, even if you don't feel like there's any improvement or it doesn't bring you the same joy that it did before. I've found that it works out in the end to be a great thing. ^^ Don't ever leave it for good! You have too much talent, it'd be a shame not to use it!
Anywho, I'm doin' pretty good. Just busy, like you said haha. Trying to fit everything in where I can. My husband does special effects makeup and is the general manager of a haunted house down here, so he's gotten me into that kind of stuff as well. So I'm kinda trying to dabble in a little of everything right now. I'm doing some more sculpting as well, and sculpting some prosthetics for our makeup at the haunted house. It's fun trying out all these things, but digital art still has it's own little place in my heart <33
