Yet, I've seen many arts featuring ponies that look everything like batponies (coat and mane colours, eyes, ears, fangs) but without wings.
Sometimes with a horn. Sometimes as earth batponies.

Yet one wouldn't call a pony a Pegasis if no wings though, right?
("a precious rainbow" to be a worthy question though; post cupcakes alternate ending story)
Though as things stand Bat ponies are not until or unless confirmed true canon, if what seen in Luna Eclipsed were just an illusion onto their armor. Β But per primary fannon bat pony have wings per part of being bat ponies. Much as how unicorns have a horn or a peg w/o wings is not much of a peg.
But the same, unofficial styles to say who can say to reflect a style that is less than 'complete' ?
Its a nice asthetic if nothing else, though not the same as a full/'true' batpony though.
