Description
There's a lot of pain involved in the creative process for me. I always hear authors talking about how they love putting their characters through shit but I don't really feel that way. I enjoy the skill involved in writing, and I enjoy my characters themselves, but I wouldn't say I actually like putting them through shit. I feel like in a sense I almost have to. Like it's the best way for me to deal with the enormous amounts of suffering that go on in the world every day.

Anyway.

This picture was kind of a surprise. It was good for me to draw it and to put these feelings on paper... they were just marinating in my head. Not great. But it was a surprise because suddenly I got his face right, and his face has been so hard for me for months now. Yay!

Also I made the April deadline. Just barely but I totally made it. No one can say I didn't!!
