Heh. I really do love doing chapters like this that spotlight the kids all just being kids and doing their own thing before super-heroics come into play, but sometimes I'm pretty scared tat the transition from one to the other is rocky. This was a page I was really nervous about it, still am honestly, just because I'm afraid it makes it come off like the entire plot of this chapter is silly. I leaned into it with Valerie talking about how dumb it is, but also wanted to swiftly move things along and show that we're not gonna wait too much longer.
Did still love all the little bits of back-and-forth, especially Lore and Valerie in the third panel and Grant and Andy in the fourth. Simple little stuff but hope folks enjoy.
Martin's Comments:
Felt good being up to color this one after being waylaid for awhile. I'm still not quite 100% but I'm up and moving and able to get stuff done and that's definitely an improvement.
Not a crazy amount to say about it admittedly. Nice getting the group all together and moving more into the meat of things with this but it is a bit of a transitionary page. Hope everyone enjoys in either case.
