a follow-up on this: [link]since i'm running outta research materials for local pop heroines, i thought of drawing inspiration from... LOCAL SOAP OPERAS. HAHAHAHA please do not think i'm crazy. first person to get where the names of these characters come from, well, won't really win a prize, but will nonetheless be recognized for astute and outstanding display of campiness.
(well, zarda isn't from a telenovela. she's the heroine of an '80s tv series, who had crosses on her palms which would itch [tongue twister] when trouble was around. thanks to nerp for the info)
and, obviously, i ripped off that tracksuit look from a very nifty movie i'm sure you all know.

For some odd reason The voice and the Supernova suddenly reminded me of Cloak and Dagger O_O; anywhoo I just love Vietnam Rose's outfit! It's so pretty!

haha yeah, cuz one's dark and the other, erm, sparkly. lol in the original soap opera, they were sisters who were also singers. i guess i kinda stretched the concepts behind them to make them heroines. hehe
