Description Logo for a newly-founded, small card and board game company.

I actually co-founded the company, so expect more design work in this vein soon.

Edit:
Per some suggestions I tweaked the legs a bit (all four of 'em). Also increased the type.

Of all the one word descriptions out there, I think that's more towards the end of the 'favorable' spectrum.
Thank you kindly for the comment.

Such a simple idea executed very well! I love the simplicity of your illustration and the type you've chosen to compliment it. Definitely caught my eye!

Thanks!
I felt the type needed a simplistic, borderline playful feel to it but still professional (it is, after-all, a business). The psudo-serifs help achieve that I think, and the font has a lot of curves to it.

Funny mark and whole idea maybe typeface should be bigger?

Yes, it should. Tweaked it a bit and enlarged the text. Thanks for the comment.

I love love love this concept! It made me laugh out loud.

Just a couple nit-picky things: The hind legs seem a bit bowlegged. You could increase the vertical length of the space between them to get rid of that, or put another shadow that helps define the fore and back legs.

Also, I'd be interested to see how this looks as a fill, rather than an outline.

Thank you so much for the feedback!
I worked a bit on the legs and uploaded a new picture. I agree they were a bit...screwy lookin'. Keep in mind though (not sure how much of an expert on goat anatomy you are ) a goat's hind legs bend backwards, while the front bend like a human's would; this could possibly account for the 'bowleggedness' you mentioned, but regardless of the anatomical correctness, they needed a bit of work.

As for the fill; this logo actually started as a colored version. I had the shadows on his neck and belly at 40% black, same with the shadow below him, and the balloon was green with a darker shade for the shadow on its lower portion. However, making the b/w version made me realize it was stronger without color, so we decided to keep it that way.

Haha, yeah, goat legs are pretty funky. The new version looks better! Maybe change the line cap to match the front set, now? Actually, you could even alter the goat's stance and have both legs together. Dunno how that would look--just musing.

Either way, it's an awesome design. Hope to see more Float a Goat-related design soon!
