Theres plenty of fur textures out there that you just apply to the preset. Simply make a new layer under the fur texture and color the fur design will stay on top and there you have it :3

heh heh.. ok so for fur textures i just make a second layer and color under that? shouldn't i make any justifications?

No you should be able to just color underneath you might have to set the fur layer to multiply to make it transparent and then after coloring you just merge down the layers.

Hmmm anything i think is fine. I use to use Gimp. I was trying one on SAI but have yet to complete it. So i prefer gimp myself :3
