Mmm... the secret to getting good broccoli? Blanching it. Get a pot of water boiling, and dump it in for 3 minutes. Then take it out and dump it in some ice water for 3 more minutes, and drain. You end up with cooked broccoli that stays green and crunchy, just like at Chinese restaurants. And it keeps like that for days!

It would be perfect for that. Just be sure to drain it well after dunking it in the ice water.
I got three heads i'm 'bout to blanche for work lunches. After learning of the glories of blanched broccoli, i shall never have it unblanched again. : )
