I was wondering when I'd be posting my first WoW fan art, and here it is! And it isn't even my own character. This is the last monochrome sketch prize I owed ~ShrubNinja . This is his Blood Elf Paladin, whose name seems to keep changing all the time (thanks again Shrub, lol). The line art was a complete nightmare, to be honest. WoW armor is so over the top! XD
I probably should have spent some more time cleaning it up too, but the picture's been sitting on my hard drive for several weeks now. So it's about time it got finished, right?

Like everyone is saying , the armor looks kick-ass.
But I think that his legs position are a bit weird , I can't imagine someone standing like that. Or is he crouching?

I really like this, Im not usually a fan of Blood elves but in your style he looks alot more imposing they they usually would. You got a great amount of detail in this, kudos!

I agree. too much detail in WoW armor. XD Doesn't help in the fact that I'm now making a comic set in WoW. XD
The armor there will be hell D: But I think I can avoid all that dramatic, intricate armor.

Yeah, that's part of the reason why I wouldn't make a WoW comic, or at least not about high level characters. XD

in my case, I pick a design and stick with it, with the excuse that it's just a look, and holds no relation to their power. (unless their armor is supposed to be dramatic and they don't show up often: special occassions)

Yeah, the effects of the armor are a game mechanic, that don't seem to work the same way in lore.

My dad inked one of the WoW comics, and yeah, it was pretty over the top with the details.
I think it was the one where Wrynn fought Onyxia. He used hax, of course, because he solo'd her in one hit. Damn cheater!

Varian is kind of like the Chuck Norris of WoW, I think. Btw, have you ever heard of a fanfic called Night Blood Ties? It's an over-elfed fic in which some Warlock 1h-kills several raid bosses. [link]

WoW armour is pretty hard to draw consistantly. It's a miracle they even had good details for their comics. lol And if you think the epic gear is annoying, wait until you see it for the females. I don't understand that in games. They always leave the tomach open, as if someone wasn't going to gut you eventually. lol So revealing too.

I never read their comics, so I wouldn't know. But I get what you mean about the gear worn by females. Or at least, BElf females seem to have that problem... Orcs, not so much. Lol.
I also don't really get the way the armor falls over the breasts of female characters. Unless that stuff is skin-tight or something, you shouldn't be able to see each breast individually. They'd be connected by cloth or what have you.

Yeah, that sort of thing. But if you mean a specific game by that descritpion, I don't know what you're talking about. In Perfect World, I know that the female Untamed (humanoid animals for the most part. males are, at least, fe,ales are like catgirls and other assortment of animal parts) where what looks like long underwear, under their armor. Some of the armor actually isn't revealing, which is a good for a Japanese MMO. It's at least a little more realistic, in that sense. Oh, and you can double jump in that game too. lol

Furthermore, I'd have to think about it. I usually only do free art for my friends, or because I really enjoy drawing the characters. So I'd need a link to you descriptions to really make up my mind on that one.
I might open commissions this winter. I want to get one of my groups subbed, hence I need the funds. Perhaps that would be an option?
